Focus on what you want

Everyday I have been doing things to reach my goal. What has been hard for me is to not take on too many different things and projects at once. Yes I multitask, and eventually gets everything done, but after having anxiety and stress kick in.

So now I take the time to write things out and plan them, so that I can not lose my focus on getting the most important things done first. This also helps me to remember those details that I might miss in between. I deal with my stress and anxiety by journaling and writing. Life can get busy for us and we forget to focus on ourselves also. So take time to slow down at times. Take some time out for yourself and avoid stressful situations as much as you can….Listening to:

Positive Outcomes

Your self-confidence comes from trusting yourself to make good decisions. Start by concentrating on the positive outcomes of your past decisions.Have you made some bad decisions in the past? Congratulations, you’re human! Take a lesson from them, and then let them go. Concentrate on all the right ones. Highlight reel of your successes playing in your mind in order to trust yourself enough to be successful in future decisions.

Can’t Please Everybody!!

You can’t let people scare you. You can’t go your whole life trying to please everyone else. You can’t go through life worried about what everyone else is going to think. Whether it’s your hair, clothes, what you have to say, how you feel, what you believe and what you have. You can’t let the judgment of others stop you from being you. Because if you do, you’re no longer you. You’re someone everyone else wants you to be.

Let people do what they need to do to make them happy, mind your business, and do what you need to do to make you happy.

As the saying goes mind your own, you live long. Your focus needs to be on yourself. I’m sure there are a whole list of things where your focus should be.

I learned to take this advice and it has been one of the things I live by. I mind my own business and am focused on doing things that make me happy. I love me!

3. Having a sense of humor does NOT insist you have to laugh at everything, especially if it offends you or if you are the brunt of another’s misuse of humor.

4. Having a sense of humor does NOT provide you opportunity to sling sarcasm or vent feelings of hostility, anger and resentment by using negative come-backs, insults or putdowns.

5. Having a sense of humor does NOT give you permission to say anything that might hurt another’s feelings, ridicule, poke fun, intimidate, alienate, patronize, degrade, belittle, embarrass, pick on or offend.

Fall Skin Care Tips

With Fall approaching it’s time to get our skin ready for the change in weather!

Adjust your skin care routine for fabulous fall skin.

As the days grow shorter, the temperatures drop, and the air becomes drier, your skin may lose precious moisture. Autumn is a time of transition, and the best autumn skin care routines will correct any summer damage that has occurred and prepare your skin for winter.

Sun, chlorine, and saltwater may have taken a toll on your skin throughout the summer, so fall is a time to exfoliate and moisturize.

Follow these fall skin care tips for fabulous, healthy skin:

Ditch the soap. Fragrant soapy scrubs might feel (and smell) wonderful after a day at the beach, but they leave your skin dry. When fall arrives, switch to a soap-free hydrating cleanser. It’s time to put away the gels and bring out the creamy body wash.
Exfoliate with an oil-based scrub. The summer sun and chlorine may have left your skin feeling dry and flaky. Start the new season off with a full-body exfoliation session. Oil-based scrubs are wonderful because they exfoliate and hydrate.
Switch from lotion to cream. As the air becomes drier, your skin needs a thicker moisturizer. Creams provide a stronger oily barrier, which means they both reduce water loss from the outer layer of skin and provide hydration to this layer of skin at the same time.
Protect your lips. Start moisturizing now to prevent dry, cracked lips this winter. Use a non-petroleum based lip balm for best results.

Natural Beauty In Mind, Body, Spirit, Self….

In 2007 I was under a tremendous amount of stress which was taking a toll on my health. I began to lose weight rapidly and very fatigued and having no energy. I went in for a check up and had bloodwork done. The results came back that my Thyroid levels were abnormal. I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. I was put on medication. Well after almost a year if being on the medication, I still was losing weight and feeling the same way. Yes I was also still going through some stressful things as well. In beginning of 2008 my friend Tasha came by to check on me after talking to me on the phone. Tasha works at Kaisar. She found me in the bed unable to get out. Before she came by she called a favor with one of the specialists at Kaisar getting me an appointment to come in the same day. Dr. Olerich saw me that day and orders me to go to have a Thyroid Scan the next week. After having that done I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and Graves Disease. After my scan the Tech gave me a Good Talk about stress and smiling and laughing. He wished me luck and prayers. So after all of this I had to speak with Dr. Olerich about my options. I choosed to have Thyroid surgery to have my Thyroid removed and it also took away the Graves’ disease. I had surgery June of 2008. After I couldn’t talk for a while and went home with a drain tube in my neck. My recovery time took a while and my kids were a big help to me. I thank God for them!

Fast Forward to now I have a scar which if you look at my photos you can see them. I am very Healthy and very Happy with my decision to have my Thyroid removed. And I want to say to you about Stress, don’t let Things you can’t control consume you. Some things you have to C’est la vie to and go on!
