My daughter’s Prom 2019

My daughter Allyssa went to two proms this year. The first was in March and second this month. I started to prepare for them last year before the holidays. The first prom was for special education students and the theme was “Hawaiian Nights”. The second prom was her actual school senior prom. The colors she wore for that was Gold and Black. We went for a classy and elegant look. I’m going to share her pictures and preparations here.

Hawaiian Nights theme prom was a lot of fun for my Princess 👸🏽!!!

Away for a while

Hello Everyone! I have been away from here while getting things in my life in order. A lot of new changes are going on and coming for me. Here are some summer memories of me……My youngest two out of 5 kids are growing up so quickly! Teenagers now 😩😩Shopping and yes in my comfortable Nike are a must lolBeach day and Bon Fire 🔥 was a lot of fun!Costco Runs and the samples are the best! My Bestie came to visit ❤️👯‍♀️❤️

Well I’m still collecting more memories and enjoying the rest of my summer with my kids and friends. I look forward to getting back here writing and sharing some positive thoughts and fun stuff. ❤️

Reflections 

Funny how life goes on but leaves those marks on our lives. This time of reflection certainly brings the happiest memories with a dash of sadness.

I spent my morning listening and watching some old school videos from the 90’s. As I listened it brought me back to some of the most happiest times in my life. I was enjoying my last couple years in high school with my close friends, partying, going out to eat and meeting new people, and also we all had good grades in school. I was preparing to go off to college, making our visits to different colleges. Boy did we have some fun times that makes me smile. 

The 90’s is also brought some of happiest moments after high school I had my first born daughter. We would go to my older cousins baseball games at the park, have family picnics, family gatherings where we would eat and watch Video Soul and movies. 

I could go on and on with all these great memories here. I have so many funny stories that makes me smile and laugh. I share them with my kids.

Holiday Weekend!

To the loved one’s we’ve lost. You aren’t here to enjoy this holiday with us, but we know you’re enjoying heaven, and we thank you for all the good memories you gave us.
Today is my dad’s born day! I really miss him so much. Happy Birthday dad, RIP. On another note I been enjoying this Spring break week and holiday weekend with my kids and family. Hope all of you are enjoying also!

Life Lessons….Letting Go

Letting go, even if it hurts, doesn’t mean you have to let go of everything. You just have to let go of the person and your feelings for her/him but the memories will always be there whether it’s good or bad. Because everytime you remember those memories, it will always put a smile into your heart. And be glad that once in your life this person made you happy and put colors into your life even if it’s just for a while.

Weekend Fun and Memories of My Parents

This is our first 4th of July without my dad here on earth and it is also the day my mom lost her battle to breast cancer. RIP Mom…missing you and dad.

My dad made the best, I mean Fire BBQ! He had his “secret sauce” that he taught me how to make before he passed away. Today he would usually be grilling.

Today we are celebrating the holiday and both of my parents memories with family. Lots of food, drink, fireworks and catching up with family!

You all have a safe and fun 4th of July! I can’t wait to watch the fireworks show later tonight!

My New Stuff

I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday weekend. Spent time with friends and family. Wedding for family turned out fantastic! I cooked dinner on Monday, had some family time with all 5 of my children. Well my oldest is grown now and is on her own, so it’s always great to have my mini basketball team in the same place. (Lol)

So I am about to share my beauty products and of course my purchase from Nordstrom’s mascara maddness sale! They do this twice a year and I make it to both of them.

My Younger Days….Thinking Back

To reminisce with my old friends, a chance to share some memories, and play our songs again.

I love to reminisce about my younger days, when I was younger and carefree. Those good memories with my mom, talking, listening to old records and her telling me stories about her youth. Hearing funny things about my family was some of my best times with her.

Now to this day one of my favorite cousins Paula and I have a glass of wine and chill out listening to music. We talk about any and everything from our kids, families, and our personal and any life things. I love, love our girl time reminiscing.

I’ve learned that things change, people change, and it doesn’t mean you forget the past or try to cover it up. It simply means that you move on and treasure the memories. Letting go doesn’t mean giving up… it means accepting that some things weren’t meant to be.
