My daughter’s Prom 2019

My daughter Allyssa went to two proms this year. The first was in March and second this month. I started to prepare for them last year before the holidays. The first prom was for special education students and the theme was “Hawaiian Nights”. The second prom was her actual school senior prom. The colors she wore for that was Gold and Black. We went for a classy and elegant look. I’m going to share her pictures and preparations here.

Distractions

Life definitely have it’s ups and downs that makes us lose our focus. Distractions can take us away from what’s important at times. We have to remind ourselves to stay focused on our priorities. Don’t let distractions keep you from achieving your full potential. Take time our for your goals and yourself. Self love is important also❤️

Away for a while

Hello Everyone! I have been away from here while getting things in my life in order. A lot of new changes are going on and coming for me. Here are some summer memories of me……My youngest two out of 5 kids are growing up so quickly! Teenagers now 😩😩Shopping and yes in my comfortable Nike are a must lolBeach day and Bon Fire 🔥 was a lot of fun!Costco Runs and the samples are the best! My Bestie came to visit ❤️👯‍♀️❤️

Well I’m still collecting more memories and enjoying the rest of my summer with my kids and friends. I look forward to getting back here writing and sharing some positive thoughts and fun stuff. ❤️

My 3 Year Blogversary!

Jan 6, 2016 makes 3 years for Nhcouture blog! Over this last year I have decided that I want to make some new changes here beginning this year. I have learned a lot of new things in the blogging world. I’ve also had many new changes in my life which have me going towards some new goals. So this time around I will be working towards my new goals and growth on here as well. Some of these things I have already been working towards or almost completed! Thanks for supporting my blog!

Grand Opening of Nordstrom’s at Del Amo Mall!

Friday morning I decided to make my way over to Del Amo mall to see the grand opening of all of their new stores. Nordstrom’s is one of my favorite stores and others. While walking through the mall I ran into my childhood friend Shoshoni,  who I ended up staying with in line with many others while waiting for Nordstrom’s to open up.  

 
They also had a beauty event that was going on earlier so it was pretty packed! The store is very upscale and beautiful! It’s huge! We couldn’t wait to go in to look around and shop. The mall also have many new stores and restaurants opening. To name a few they are Zara, Steve Madden, Lush, Kiehl’s since 1851, Cache, Bebe, Lette, Macarons, Sephora, Kate Spade, Victoria Secrets, H&M which combined two mall stores into one two story , and more that I haven’t named here. Make sure to stop by when you can!

Today on Nhcouture I’m sharing with you a beautiful, smart and talented young lady Ms. Calloni Gibbs.  She is a honor roll high school graduate from View Park High School. In high school she was an active and all around fantastic student, being Secretary on Student Council and Varsity Cheer Captain for View Park High School. She ended her high school year with all A’s and received a scholarship from Delta Sigma Theta. Calloni will be attending Clark Atlanta University in the Fall. 

Calloni is also a fashionista with her own unique style! I’m sharing her absolutely stunning Prom pictures, graduation, and her scholastic achievements. Congratulations on all of your hard work and dedication Calloni!

The Grand Opening of Kiss My Kurves Boutique 💋

I received an invite to come and sip and shop at the grand opening of Kiss My Kurves Boutique from a friend of mines, who is the owner’s husband. Kurves owner is Felicia Williams, who is a beautiful and stylish woman! There was opening prayer before business began. Kurves provided plenty of refreshments for their customers. There was chicken tacos, icee and punch to drink, adult drinks, fruits, and a candy bar with all kinds of goodies! 

Kiss My Kurves have an array of very stylish clothing ranging from all prices to fit all budgets. I purchased a dress that I love! I will be following up with a new post featuring the inside of her boutique and all of her styles of clothing! But for now here are some photos from her grand opening…

Something Better is Waiting….

” In life we all lose one thing or the other; might be a job, relationship etc. It’s very normal. But don’t grieve over your losses. Why? Because God always has a better replacement for them. So whenever you lose something, tell yourself, there’s something better waiting for me.”

I have felt sadness many times in my life from losing both of my parents, in relationships, in my marriage, and many other circumstances. I remember thinking what is next for me. I also remember thinking that I don’t like these changes. But not realizing that God always will step in when you need him to and will fill any voids that need be filled. He did it for me. Of course I am still a work in progress but I do know that there is…..Something Better waiting For Me And You Also Who is Reading This And Needed To Hear This!!!

I mean my girl makes a lot of things and have her own unique style. She makes custom baby baskets, and crochet dolls, blankets and many other items.
