Hair Care

Today I’m writing about my hair care. I have been letting my hair grow out and keeping it healthy in the progress of that. Some of my favorite shampoos and conditioner that I love are L’Oréal Paris ElVive Total Repair 5 shampoo and conditioner, Paul Mitchel Tea Tree Lavender Mint Shampoo, and their Tea Tree special conditioner. The tea tree products gives your scalp a little tingling while it’s on your scalp, so I let that sit on for a little while I’m showering and rinse of after. My scalp is very dry so I’m always trying to moisturize it while not using any heavy oils and or products that are too heavy for my type of hair. I have some pictures to share of my previous hairstyles and a couple of the products I listed here.

These pictures was taken in my car and this is the only time I can wear lipstick before having to remove it and put my mask 😷 back on to get out of the car. I wanted to clarify that here so everyone knows I’m being safe and cautious out here!

Sharing memories of an awesome testimony!!

I received this wonderful email from Mrs. Heather Von St. James. Her touching story brought me to tears and smiles, because God is so good! I couldn’t wait to share this with you all. I Thank You and your family Heather for picking my blog to share your Inspirational story. You are a strong woman……….

Hi there!

The reason I have reached out to you is because of your blog! I am 44 and a mother to a quirky little 7 year old, Lily. She is my only child, and my whole world. When Lily was just 3 1/2 months old, I was diagnosed with mesothelioma; a type of cancer that kills most people within 2 years. As I’m sure you can imagine, the first thing that came to mind when I was diagnosed was my baby girl and how I wasn’t going to be able to watch her grow…

The Temporary Things

simona_feat

Turning thirty-one this year brought on a lot of realizations.  One of which was that this age (the 30’s) is a time of transition for most of my peers.  As I scan my group of friends I see about half, if not more, going through a marital shift.  Divorce, separation or reconciliation – myself included.

One person who has really impressed me when it comes to handling life’s hurdles is my good friend Marie Young, creator of GoodLooknOut.  Her blog is colorful, blatantly informative and above all REAL.  Of all the things about her I admire, what stands out the most is her ability to handle a fresh divorce with grace, raise her two gorgeous children, regularly slay the blogging world, work round-the-clock freelance gigs and still come out looking fierce (all while chipping away at a graduate degree).

I sat down with her to pick her brain about her transition from married…

Sometimes being understanding is more important than being right… Sometimes we need not a brilliant mind that speaks but a patient heart that listens… Not keen eyes that always see faults but open arms that accept. Not a finger that points out mistakes but gentle hands that lead.

I know I have been guilty of this many times. Sometimes in anger and being emotional at times brings out the wrong words at that moment. Now I practice being more understanding and taking time to consider ones feelings. Have a Great Day….Thanks for stopping by.

Your life will get better when you realize it’s better to be alone than to chase people who don’t really care about you…

Sometimes we need reminders to remember simple things that some of us do when we want to be among certain people’s company or their friendship, in a relationship, etc.

You have to step back and remember that you are awesome in your own way and chasing, kissing someone’s behind is not worth your time. And really these people can careless about you or your feelings. A lot of times they are selfish or involved with other things and or people, or persons.

My advice is to keep doing you and stay focused on the positives in your life, after all whoever and whatever God have for you will be for you in the end, and you don’t have to chase anyone to get what’s for you!

Nobody Is Perfect

Another Flashback Friday Post from NHCouture! Happy Friday Everyone!!

NHCouture

Nobody has a perfect life. Everybody has their own problems. Some people just know how to deal with it in a perfect way. Life can bring on so many challenges and changes. How we choose to deal with them and learning from them, is up to us. I personally have to Thank God for bringing me so much growth, change, happiness, peace, wisdom, guidance and strength.

“Our Negative Coping Behaviors”

There are many possible negative things that can happen to us in a day—from the little things like coffee spilling, being caught in a traffic jam, losing our keys, having people criticize you, to the bigger mishaps like getting into a car accident, losing our valuables, breaking up from relationships, or losing our jobs etc.

Whenever something bad happens to us, it’s easy for us to slip into one of the following behaviors:

Self-victimization. We ask ourselves “Why is this…
