Thanksgiving
My holiday weekend started off well! Monday after I passed my exam that was the start of my vacation from class. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday between appointments and work getting prepared for cooking and shopping with my family. We were able to get caught up on some movies and tv shows.
Thanksgiving day I was up early cooking with my holiday music blasting. We spent the day home relaxing, eating good food. I’m grateful to be able to enjoy the holidays with my kids and family.
Weekend Stuff
Over the weekend I did things with my children and also a little shopping. With the holidays approaching I’m preparing early. I can’t believe we are just a couple weeks away from Thanksgiving already. The only things my children want to know is what’s on our Thanksgiving menu and about their Christmas list that they already gave me, lol.
One of the sales I always make it to was at one of my favorite stores Nordstrom. It was their mascara madness sale! Buy two and get one free, from any makeup counter. They have it twice a year and I make sure to stock up both times. I also made a trip to Fashion Fair cosmetics counter in Macy’s. We also brought warm and fuzzy gloves, hats, and scarves getting ready for the cold weather. Since my surgery on my neck I make sure to keep scarves in all weather changes.
I had a pretty good weekend with my children. We all attended church on Sunday and also spent time with extended family.
L.I.C Picnic
Over this holiday weekend our crew got together with Smitty and family for a picnic. We had been having festivities all weekend from bowling to kickbacks. It’s always a good time with everyone and drama free.
Live Your Best Life
It only takes a moment
To stop and breath
To take in all the sights, and sounds
To enjoy all life has to give
Don’t take time for granted
Because it quickly slips away
Years cannot be promised
So enjoy every single day
Time and life are precious
And we only get one chance
To live life to its fullest
To live in happiness
Live your best life
Starting with today
Make sure it’s a happy one
Every step of the way
As you can see we had a blast, and there was plenty of food and drinks! It’s always a pleasure having fun and laughs with them. After all laughter is wine for the soul! We had plenty of laughs. It was good seeing everyone. I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend. I sure did. Thanks for stopping by! God Blessβ€οΈπ

Weekend Fun and Memories of My Parents
This is our first 4th of July without my dad here on earth and it is also the day my mom lost her battle to breast cancer. RIP Mom…missing you and dad.
My dad made the best, I mean Fire BBQ! He had his “secret sauce” that he taught me how to make before he passed away. Today he would usually be grilling.
Today we are celebrating the holiday and both of my parents memories with family. Lots of food, drink, fireworks and catching up with family!
You all have a safe and fun 4th of July! I can’t wait to watch the fireworks show later tonight!

Getting Ready For The Holidays
It’s that time of the year again to start getting ready for the Holidays. I will be cooking, as I always do.
To get ready for Thanksgiving, you may want to stock up on paper goods such as napkins, nice quality sturdy paper plates and cups, and cutlery to use with them. If you get them ahead of time, you will have one less thing to have to deal with. Check the shopping ads for sales early and use coupons. I buy my Turkeys’ as early as possible and put in my deep freezer until time to thaw. Get a head count ahead of time also and try to determine if any of your guests or family will be staying overnight. I look forward to having family come and visit or even staying overnight. Especially one of my favorite cousins, lol! Normally we go shopping Black Friday and enjoy getting ready for Christmas.
Getting ready for Christmas, make sure to buy wrapping paper and gift cards as early as possible. This way you can get your cards addressed and mailed out to avoid any delays with the holiday rush. I like wrap my gifts as I buy them. This is why I like to have my wrapping paper early. That way, you can have a relaxing time during the holidays and not be stuck out in the malls during the Christmas shopping rush! What better way to make your holidays less stressful than by being prepared and planning ahead?
