Nobody has a perfect life. Everybody has their own problems. Some people just know how to deal with it in a perfect way. Life can bring on so many challenges and changes. How we choose to deal with them and learning from them, is up to us. I personally have to Thank God for bringing me so much growth, change, happiness, peace, wisdom, guidance and strength.

“Our Negative Coping Behaviors”

There are many possible negative things that can happen to us in a day—from the little things like coffee spilling, being caught in a traffic jam, losing our keys, having people criticize you, to the bigger mishaps like getting into a car accident, losing our valuables, breaking up from relationships, or losing our jobs etc.

Whenever something bad happens to us, it’s easy for us to slip into one of the following behaviors:

Self-victimization. We ask ourselves “Why is this…

Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.  ~From the television show The Wonder Years

My night began with me marinating food to put on the grill in the morning. I plan to have a fun filled day with my kids. We went to the grocery store earlier today. I had last minute stuff to buy. I love holiday time. It’s a time to make more memories with my kiddos. I get real festive around the house. I turn my music on and began cooking really early in the morning. They all wake up to the smell of my food. My little helpers Buttercups and Princess will hurry shower and dress to come help me! Well I need to get some rest. But I want to Salute all of you men and women that have served…

Awareness of Simple Abundance 🌹

Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.

We never understand why we go through certain trials, but what I realized is that I wouldn’t have any peace of mind until I was open and willing to accept with a grateful heart. I made a lot of changes. I know I’m still a work in progress but I’m happy with how far I’ve come.

 Friendships….🌸

I hope that you always have smiles when sadness intrudes and comfort on those difficult days. I hope that you have laughter that kisses your lips and hugs when spirits sag. That they’ll always be sunsets to warm your heart and beauty for your eyes to see. They’ll always be friendships to brighten your being with faith so that you can believe. They’ll be confidence for when you doubt and the patience for you to accept the truth. And I always hope that you’ll have love that completes your life, this is my wish for you.

Hope you all enjoy your start of the weekend!

My Weekend Happenings…

My Mother’s Day weekend was a busy one. I actually got to enjoy some time alone and with my kids. Friday night it kicked off with me attending Aysha Aysha CD release party! I got to hear one of my favorite songs by her ( well I have more than one) Release Me. Her voice is amazing! The whole atmosphere was filled with smooth jazz sounds, clapping and heads moving to the beat of her music. The band and special friends performing sounded great also. I had my glass of wine enjoying every bit of the party.

Saturday my daughters and I attended The 23rd Annual King’s Daughter Tea. We enjoyed a lot of reflections on parenting and mistakes that some of us made. We discussed different topics, prayed, listened to music selections performed by Jackie Gouche, and enjoyed good food with tea and drinks. This allowed me time to bond with my young daughters. At the end of the tea we danced and said some good things to our families and friends.

Sunday on Mother’s Day we headed out to church, listened to a powerful sermon by Apostle Bam Crawford. I left church feeling grateful and excited about the positive things going on in my life. Also I’m very grateful for each of my five blessings from God that made me a mom. I had my children young and grew up with them. They are the ones that keep me going forward. I love them! Happy Mother’s Day to me!  After church we went to Downtown Disney District to movie theater to see Avengers: Age of Ultron. This is the second time I seen this movie! My weekend concluded with dinner and getting ready for the week coming. I enjoyed every bit of my weekend. Here are some photos of my weekend…..
