My holiday weekend started off well! Monday after I passed my exam that was the start of my vacation from class. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday between appointments and work getting prepared for cooking and shopping with my family. We were able to get caught up on some movies and tv shows.
Thanksgiving day I was up early cooking with my holiday music blasting. We spent the day home relaxing, eating good food. I’m grateful to be able to enjoy the holidays with my kids and family.
This weekend was a busy one for me. Taking care of school things and also preparing for the holidays. My kids are on vacation this week, so I plan to do some fun stuff with them as well. Holiday time is sometimes hard for me, as I miss doing things with my mom and also this will be our first Thanksgiving and Christmas without my dad. I miss both of my parents. So I decided to make it as festive as possible for my family.
I’m cooking as I do every year, and we will do some shopping over the weekend. My sons want to go shopping on Black Friday. They already have their items picked out. I took them one year before and they were excited about all the good deals and bargains on the video games and electronics. My dad even went shopping with us that year and gave them their own money to spend as they please. My sons been set on going every year now. I just look forward to spending time with them and creating more family memories with them!

Is it me or do you also get excited when you find an item you’ve had your eye on at a really reasonable price? I’ve been looking for one of those trendy overcoats that we’re seeing everywhere. Granted, I live in Los Angeles, where there climate is seasonless, but that’s all the more reason I try to find items at reasonable prices. Over the weekend I did things with my children and also a little shopping. With the holidays approaching I’m preparing early. I can’t believe we are just a couple weeks away from Thanksgiving already. The only things my children want to know is what’s on our Thanksgiving menu and about their Christmas list that they already gave me, lol.
One of the sales I always make it to was at one of my favorite stores Nordstrom. It was their mascara madness sale! Buy two and get one free, from any makeup counter. They have it twice a year and I make sure to stock up both times. I also made a trip to Fashion Fair cosmetics counter in Macy’s. We also brought warm and fuzzy gloves, hats, and scarves getting ready for the cold weather. Since my surgery on my neck I make sure to keep scarves in all weather changes.
I had a pretty good weekend with my children. We all attended church on Sunday and also spent time with extended family.

Fall is here! Fall Fashion brings out the wool coats, knee high boots, flurry jackets, sweaters, hats, hoodies, even stylish umbrellas for the rainy weather!
I’m sharing some of my favorite things that I like to layer with to create different looks for the cooler weather. My style is more conservative and also casual. I go with the darker palettes like the reds, browns, blues color tones. My absolute favorites are sweaters.
When layering your clothes find a layered look that will compliment your curves, and will create an illusion of a more proportional silhouette. I always start with a basic solid top which on here I picked a red shirt and also a white one to wear underneath my cardigans. Next would be my coat or jacket. I went with three cardigans. My favorite looks are the soft knit and different color patterns like the brown/black one from ModCloth. Followed by adding a scarf. ( which have always been one of my favorite accessories, especially since my surgery on my neck.) Last add your other accessories like watch, bracelets, necklace, etc. Here are my looks and fashion picks!

Greetings Everyone! I was inspired to participate in a wedding challenge with Lover.ly along with other bloggers! My mom is who inspired my wedding style. Her wedding was elegant and classy and as a young girl I was always kept in big dresses with bows with the shoes to match.
I picked a wedding dress that fits my personality and style. The wedding dress has a little lace that I love. It’s very elegant and classy. The purple dress is for my bridesmaids it actually compliments my dress and romantic, intimate setting. My shoes and accessories are kept simple. My hair is pulled back in an up do showing off my beautiful face. My makeup would compliment my colors I picked in these photos with the purples with simple earrings. My setting for this wedding look is a romantic evening setting. This would be great for an evening wedding!
