Learning to Love and Accept myself has been the most Beautiful thing. Taking time out with me through prayer has helped me a whole lot. Brought me closer with God and taught me how to Love others. I am thankful for my life lessons that have brought me closer with God and opened my eyes to me. God shows me a Love that I want to share not only with myself but with others also.

I had the best time interviewing a very close family friend Monique of Mo Sweet Treats! My girls and I stopped by while she was in the progress of making some yummy chocolate covered strawberries! Mo started baking at the age 11, making cakes following boxed recipes. As time went on she started making Sweet Potatoe pies and Peach Cobblers from scratch. They were so darn tasty her mom suggested she start selling them. She began selling to family and friends first, and that went really well. So her mom once again suggested she start her own business. After going back and forth between two friends Mo came up with her business name “Mo Sweet Treats”! Mo Sweet Treats offer a variety of desserts and cake designing and creating different themes as well. Mo also makes a mean Gumbo! Makes me want some while writing this lol. Specialities “Mo Sweet Treats” offers are a variety of Cakes, Cupcakes, Peach Cobblers, Pound Cakes, Pies, Cheesecakes, Assorted Cheesecakes in White Chocolate Chocolate Red Velvet etc. and Gumbo. To name a few Red Velvet Cake/ Cupcakes, Lemon Cream Cheesecake Pound Cake, Sweet Potatoes Pie, Sweet Potatoes Pound Cake, 7up Cake, Lemon Pound Cake, White and Chocolate covered strawberries and many more

I was thrilled to find out my good friend Philicia had opened her own clothing boutique in her home. I have known her since Jr. High school and, she have always been very stylish! She always had a flair for fashion and design, and have a degree in Interior designing.

Perfect Timing Boutique was opened the beginning of 2012, in her converted dining room with used and pre-owned clothes donated by her aunt using a piano stand as a rack. It has grown a really blossomed into a big venture for my friend! The boutique offers a wide variety of clothing styles such as; eclectic, vintage, classy, edgy, contemporary, casual, and modern. They are also “Every Woman” from tall, small, thick, sleek and business, offering sizes small to 3x. They offer accessories that include custom made glasses, belts, shoes, handbags, and jewelry. Philicia also customize jeans and shirts for customers.

Perfect Timing Boutique is looking to be in a store front by the end of 2013!!! I have had the pleasure of interviewing my friend on one of her dreams and wish her the best! I already have my list ready and can’t wait to purchase my stuff!
